In this version I wanted to make the sense of ‘I’ agency boldly central to the concept a as a clear life choice. The original orange image was not bold enough so I replaced it with a large orange circle. The dynamic converging lines in the background were made by a large dashed stroke with an art brush, all placed in a clipping mask from the circle. The text is in Bodoni – typeface of fashion and putting text in turquoise adds to the boldness of the text statement. Huguette Caland is now red – to match the I. And the very small original image of the orange is set on one side and in difference mode to make it look like the picture of a black woman (Caland is Lebanese) and drawing attention to her name.
