Orange 3 Real Thing uses a large image of the ‘real orange’ in a square format to emphasise it. I wanted to make the text simple and contrasting. So the eye is first attracted to the orange, and then reads the text in detail without complication and ornamentation. I experimented with different image sizes – this large version needs to be upsampled in Photoshop – or do my own substitute image).
